Kousto

Kousto first emerged in 2018. Performing under a pseudonym, the artist’s name is inspired by the French explorer, Jacques Cousteau. Since his inception, his presence on the emerging artist scene has been firmly established by a slew of critically-acclaimed releases and support from artists including The Shapeshifters, Honey Dijon and Folamour.

Kousto has been tipped as “one to watch” by BBC 1 and BBC 1 Dance, has received press coverage in DJ Mag, Magnetic Mag andMixmag, and is becoming a hot topic on the UKfestival and event scene. Kousto is recognised for his musical soundscapes that recall summer settings and far-off places, as well as his panache for world music and high-energy, eclectic curation spanning electronic music that keeps the crowd coming.

In recent months,Kousto has played with iconic headliners across Europe in venues including Praga Centrum in Warsaw, Paradiso in Amsterdam, REX Club in Paris, KOKO in London, and Pikes in Ibiza.In 2019,Kousto launched Little Foot Records – a platform for the French producer to exercise complete creative freedom. Since, Kousto has released a suite of EPs on the label; the first beingStep by Step in 2019. Next to follow was The Tombolo on Kombava Records (2019), of which the principal track “Wildin’ Out” led to his firm positioning on an upward trajectory in the UK music scene.

Signed in February 2023 by Folamour's label,House of Love, Kousto has since released his most recent EP, When We Were There. The label looks to spotlight top up-and-coming talent in House andElectronic music. Comprising four tracks, "JungleBird" features vocals by Folamour, and has led to a cascade of interest and bookings from the national and international crowd who are drawn to Kousto's ability to fill a dance floor with unexpected sets, original tracks and a feel-good performance.
