The Dive

Fusing Britpop, funk, and 90s electronica, Common Goldfish is the psychedelic music project of Tottenham-based producer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Jonty Lovell. Featuring old-school breakbeats, funk-inspired bass lines and vibrant melodies, Common Goldfish create infectious grooves that are “uplifting, nostalgic and refreshingly original”.

From spontaneous sets in skateparks to pop up gigs along the canals, the artist started out turning iconic locations into experimental stages. Now expanded into a dynamic 4-piece, the band have been praised for their electrifying performances across the London circuit, including headline sets for BBC Introducing and a First Fifty showcase at The Great Escape festival.

Described as “quite extraordinary” by Amy Lamé on Radio 6, Common Goldfish have garnered national airplay from tastemakers like Steve Lamacq and John Kennedy, with BBC Introducing describing them as “future headliners of tomorrow.”
