Your arrival / heading home
Everything you need to know to get here...
Sunday night will still be full of fun, however, the arena will be closed from 03:00 Monday morning, so please do not try to head back in after this time.
While we would love to have you stay with us all year round, unfortunately, we do have to say goodbye! We kindly ask everyone to vacate the campsites by midday on Monday. Please leave your camping area as you found it. Take everything with you and properly dispose of any rubbish. Leave no trace and help keep our beautiful home beautiful for years to come!
For those who are driving
Please note there are traffic orders in place meaning that:
- Anyone exiting via Blue Gate must drive straight on, on the immediate exit out of Blue Gate and then left onto the B4437 and follow this route back to the main A-roads.
- Anyone exiting via Yellow Gate must turn right and continue on as required once you reach the ‘Fiveways’ junction
Staff and signage will be in place at all locations to help direct you - please follow these accordingly and do not drive through Charlbury as the roads are narrow and get particularly busy.
Please respect our wonderful neighbours when leaving; they are kind enough to host us each year, so please repay that kindness. Drive carefully, leave quietly and do not drop any litter.
For those going by train/shuttle
There will be a shuttle service running between 08:00 - 11:00 between the festival and Charlbury Train Station, this will pick up at
- Bus Stop 1 - Pick up and drop off (General, Quiet, Grove, Groups, Crew, Performer camping)
- Bus Stop 2 - Between Boutique & Meadow - please head towards the Boutique Bar & Restaurant and queue inside the Boutique campsite near to the bus stop
- Bus Stop 3 - From the Family Car Park (Family, Accessible, Live-In Vehicle)
Please note this service is cash only and will run as and when the shuttles are full rather than on a strict timetable. Full information is found below.

Not Camping?
If you're coming and going from the festival each day you only need one car park pass to be able to park your car for the whole weekend but please be aware that we cannot guarantee the same parking space each day if you leave and return.
We do not have a specific bike park for motorcycles, bikes are parked at your own risk and will require a Car Park Pass (1 per vehicle). Entry routes as above.
Our regular bike park is located next to the Pick Up, Drop Off entrance, off the Green Route, most easily accessed via the Green Gate, Southill Drive, OX7 3EW.
Please note, the bike park is fencing only that festivalgoers are able to lock their bikes to. Bikes are left at the owner's risk.
Once you've parked your bike, you can enter the festival via the Pick Up Drop Off entrance.
If you live locally and are planning to cycle, you may find the Yellow Gate, North Lodge entrance (OX7 3EH) an easier way to access the festival. If you do this, we ask that you lock your bike up neatly against the fence line on the right side of the driveway/road, so as not to block the pedestrian pathway.
You can also cycle round to the bike park, but please note the road from the Green Gate round to the Yellow Gate will be busy with festival traffic, mainly flowing in the opposite direction, through the festival.
The Yellow Gate, North Lodge entrance, OX7 3EH is the dedicated route for accessing the festival on foot from Charlbury.
This route takes you up the main driveway towards Cornbury House. Upon passing through the North Lodge gate there is a pedestrian/local box office on your left where you can scan your mobile QR code in return for a festival wristband. If you have any problems with your pass they'll also be able to help solve this for you here.
Once you have your wristband there is a fenced-off pedestrian walkway that runs along the grass verge, up the side of the driveway, taking you straight up to the pedestrian arena entrance, bringing you into the arena next to the main Wilderness Stage.
Please ensure you use this dedicated walkway, as this road is still used throughout the festival for exiting traffic.
Please note - if you're accessing the campsites from this route you cannot enter until after 14:00 on Thursday when the arena is open as you will need to walk through the arena to reach any of our campsites!
If you're walking home in the evening, please wear bright/reflective clothing and bring a torch as there is minimal lighting along some stretches of the surrounding local roads.
Pedestrian Route Instructions
- Exit the station and turn right
- Follow forest road, continuing straight over the bridge and then up a slight incline.
- Part way up the incline, take the first major turning to your right. This will be at a triangle junction that has a small grassy area with a large tree in its centre.**
- Follow the sharp right bend, round onto church lane.
- Continue up this road, with most of the houses on your left hand side, until you reach the entrance to the church yard.
- Follow the path of the church yard through to the other side - please be respectful and keep to the path.
- Once you reach the exit on the other side, turn right and follow the road down and then back up until you reach Yellow Gate in your right.
- Turn right and walk up the driveway, over the bridge and through North Lodge gate - be sure to use the pedestrian gate to the right of the cattlegrid. Do not try to talk over the cattlegrid.
- Once you’re through the gates, the pedestrian box office will be immediately on your left.
- Have your mobile QR code ready to collect your festival wristbands.
- Once you’ve collected your wristbands, head up the driveway using the designated walkway, turn left and then immediately cross the road to follow the walkway round to the pedestrian arena entrance.
- Do not continue to walk down the road to your left, this road is busy with traffic and will not permit pedestrian access to the festival.
** if you carry on straight at this point you will reach the town centre of Charlbury. There are, among other things, a Co-op, deli cafe and pubs. If you do choose to go to any of these, please be respectful and remember there will also be residents going about their day to day life.
