Sauna info / terms & conditions

Please help us to maintain our safe & hygienic environment by always following and respecting the terms below when in the Sauna area. If you are not adhering to these rules, your Sauna host will kindly ask you to comply.
No one under the age of 18 is permitted in the Sauna area.
Arrival & Timings
- 1-hour sessions are inclusive of the entire period spent in the Sauna area, including changing time.
- Please arrive at the Sauna 15 minutes before your session time for briefing so you're ready for your designated time slot.
- Spaces will only be held for 20 minutes after your booked time, at this point tickets will be released for resale without refunds.
Please Bring With You
- Swimwear! Strictly no underwear or daywear is allowed in the Sauna & Cold plunge for hygiene reasons. Swimwear will be available to buy from the main spa reception, subject to availability.
- Two towels: one to sit on inside the sauna.
- Flip-flops/sliders: To keep your feet clean and therefore the Sauna clean.
- Water bottle: Stay hydrated and take regular breaks when using the Sauna.
Please Do Not Bring With You
- Alcohol: Do not bring this in with you and please refrain from drinking alcohol before your Sauna session. We reserve the right to refuse your entry to the Sauna if you appear to be under the influence of alcohol, any illegal substance or deemed a risk to health and safety. No refunds will be given in this circumstance.
- Food or glass: This is not permitted in the Sauna area.
- Valuables: Storage space is limited, so please bring minimal belongings. Personal items are left at your own risk.
Spa Rules & Etiquette
- Wash feet with the foot baths provided before entering the Sauna.
- Rinse in the showers before getting into the cold plunge
- Don't 'dump' water onto the Sauna stones please splash small amounts at a time and be considerate of those in the Sauna with you.
- Don't submerge your head or swallow the water in the Cold Plunge
- Sit on a towel in the Sauna.
- Only Spa staff can check on and top up the Sauna fires: always stay well away from the wood-burning stoves.
- Move around the site slowly and with caution due to the nature of the area, there may be wet and uneven surfaces.
- Take breaks: We strongly advise a maximum bathing period of 10-15 minutes (no longer than 20) before taking a cool-down break. Please listen to your body and get out straight away if you experience: nausea, dizziness, faintness, rapid pulse, irregular heartbeat, stomach pains or tingling in hands or feet.
Do Not Use the Sauna Facilities if
- You have a serious illness, heart disease or have a heart condition, high or low blood pressure, respiratory condition, or any other medical condition which may affect your reaction to heat.
- You have had any heart problems or high blood pressure, suffered from a heart attack or a stroke.
- You are taking medication for any of the above conditions.
- You have Diabetes.
- You have Epilepsy.
- You are pregnant or could be pregnant.
- You are susceptible to migraines.
- You are allergic to or have a sensitivity to essential oils.
- You have an illness causing an inability to perspire.
- You have had diarrhoea, sickness or an upset stomach within the last 14 days.
- You have a contagious disease or infectious skin condition.
- You have skin, ear, genital or other body infections or conditions.
- You have any open sores, cuts or wounds.
- You have had a heavy meal within one-and-a-half hours of your spa session.
Use of the sauna facilities is completely at your own risk. If you have a medical condition or are taking any medication, speak to your GP before using any of the Spa facilities to make sure it is safe to do so. By booking a session, you’re confirming that you, and everyone in your group, has considered this advice.
The Wandering Wild Spa accepts no responsibility for injury or loss resulting from the misuse of our facilities. Additionally, we accept no liability for any medical events or conditions that may occur following the use of our spa facilities by any individual.
By attending, you agree that The Wandering Wild Spa may capture and use photos or videos of you and your group within the Sauna area for promotional purposes.
By purchasing a ticket, you confirm that you have thoroughly reviewed, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions and will adhere to them during your time in the Spa area. If you are booking on behalf of a group, it is your responsibility to ensure that these Terms and Conditions are read by all the members of your party.
