Talking Dirty, Writing Sex: Susanna Davies-Crook
Set time to be announced
A workshop with writer / curator Susanna Davies-Crook
Moving from the body as a site of leaking, pulsing, wincing and craving, this intimate writing workshop will lead you through curious prompts and accessible writing exercises to consider what sex is to you, and how that translates to language and literature. Over the two hours you'll create your own sexy masterpieces a la Nin, Miller and Millet or Kraus and Cooper if that’s your thing. We’ll explore ways of accessing the erotic imaginary and consider ways to voice it both on and off the page. The space will be held kindly, with options to share as much or as little as you desire. No writing, or other, experience necessary.
Susanna Davies-Crook is a writer and curator who has held positions at the Barbican, ICA and Ignota Books, and previously worked on large-scale exhibitions including Transformer: A Rebirth of Wonder at 180 Strand. She is the recipient of an Arts Council DYCP grant to develop her creative and critical writing practice on Nervous Systems and complete her first novel. Having graduated from the Faber Academy ‘Writing a Novel’ course, she now co-runs Write Club London, currently in residence at House of Koko, and is also a hypnotherapist and yoga teacher.
