Amrou Al-Kadhi is a British-Iraqi Egyptian drag performer, screenwriter and filmmaker. Their solo drag show, GLAMROU, has sold out internationally, and their debut feature film as writer / director, LAYLA, premiered at Sundance Film Festival 2024 and will be distributed theatrically by Curzon Films later this year. As a screenwriter, they wrote the finale of Season 1 of LITTLE AMERICA (Apple), and an episode for BBC America’s THE WATCH, as well as numerous episodes for Hollyoaks. Their debut book, LIFE AS A UNICORN, was published with Harper Collins internationally, and won the Somerset Maugham award and Polari Prize.
